John Michael McCleary

John Michael McCleary, born on June 8, 1932, died on May 16, 2016, at the age of 83. He is survived by his seven children, five son/daughter in laws, 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, and by his dear friend and loving companion for the past 5 years, Alice Bailey.

John proudly served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean conflict, and remained a strong supporter of his company and its soldiers throughout his life. A strong-willed Irish Catholic, along with Nancy, his wife of 58 years, he raised a clan that shares his traits of honesty, integrity and hard work. 

We are all honored to have been in his life, and he will live on in our minds and hearts forever! Semper Fi, John!

A military service for John McCleary will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA, on Thursday, June 16th, at 1:30 p.m.  At that time, John and Nancy McCleary’s ashes will be finally interred together.

Following the military service, there will be a reception for John’s family and friends at the clubhouse of Rio Verde Estates in Auburn.
