VERNA MARIE OSTERHOLM

Verna Marie Osterholm was born in Cumberland, Wisconsin on December 2, 1924 to Christian and Lydia Mathison. One of 13 siblings, she enjoyed growing up on “the farm” until coming to Tacoma, Washington in 1950.

Verna enjoyed dancing with her husband, camping with her family and working in her yard. She was the most amazing grandma and cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren more than anything.

She is survived by her grandchildren Todd Frolik (Sandy), Crystal Foster (Kyle), Bryan Robertson (Betsy), Jennifer Chipman (Travis), Heather Pollock (Jason), Corey Timblin (Lauren) and Amber Timblin (Kevin) as well as her great-grandchildren Kyle, Shaina, Logan, Quinten, Kai, Miyana, Cody, Nicole, Mitchell, Jessica, Hannah, Dakota, Scotlynn and Kyler. Verna’s prayers to be with her husband, mother and son Greg in heaven were answered on Monday, January 16, 2017. She was surrounded by her family and held in their arms as she peacefully went to her Savior.

The celebration of Verna’s life will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church in Auburn, Friday, February 3, 2017 at 12:30pm.
