Cougs, Dawgs go bowling | Shiers

The Huskies and Cougars delivered solid college football seasons to earn trips to bowl games this month.

After dispatching the Cougars 41-14 in the Nov. 25 Apple Cup, No. 11 Washington (10-2) takes on Nov. 9 Penn State (10-2) in the Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Ariz., on Saturday, Dec. 30 (1 p.m. ESPN).

No. 18 Washington State (9-3) faces No. 16 Michigan State (9-3) in the Holiday Bowl at San Diego on Thursday, Dec. 28 (6 p.m. FOX).
