Bar bare baristas
June 2, 2008 · Updated 4:21 PM
I think being a barista is a fun and honorable job, but I cannot call the ones who show their bodies baristas. The truth of the matter is, its degrading to the girls. They are selling themselves cheap.
Since I moved to Auburn in 1999, I have found it a safe place to come. Not in my wildest dreams did I think coffee shops would promote flesh.
I would like Auburn to stay safe. Lets not open the door for all manner of activities that are neither healthy nor respectful.
I am prepared to frequent only those coffee shops where the baristas keep their clothes on. And if I can do anything else to help, I will.
A lot of women, young and old, feel this way. I have talked to them. They are afraid to say anything. Its an acceptance thing, so Im saying it for them.
