The Mystery of Pacific

The Mystery of Pacific

is not written in hieroglyphics
Council person Guier
the town crier is specific
in reporting city statistics

But once again those who are
prematurely interned under
white crosses must be turning
and churning as two old warriors
battle over false accusations
of who has the right in this fight
to wear the ribbons each one
has won

And Auburn you dodged the
bullet almost purchased the farm
got more of a mess then even
you could imagine

– Gerald A. McBreen
Pacific Poet Laureate
