Kudos to Keith, Green Team
February 6, 2013 · Updated 1:25 PM
I recently had the pleasure to work with some of your incredible students on the Lakeland Hills Elementary School Green Team. Grace Shin, Tabetha Norris, Audrey Change, Grace Couey, Allison Thompson and David Anderson came to Uniquely Auburn on Sunday afternoon (Jan. 27) to do a lobby presentation, be interviewed about what the team does and provide services for the event dinner.
The students really made a tremendous impact in our community. Their efforts resulted in only having a half a can of trash after serving dinner to the whole Auburn High cafeteria full of people. They had four large containers of compostable materials, and one container of recycling. These students really made a difference in our community and in my own personal knowledge about how to compost.
Alaura Keith should be recognized for outstanding leadership as well as teaching our students about the environment and the importance of supporting our global community. The students are truly blessed to have such a caring teacher.
Thank you, Lakeland Hills Green Club. You are amazing.
