I have to respectfully disagree with Greg Brown’s opinion on the police blotter section. Though I can see where he is coming from, I actually enjoy the humorous spin put on otherwise mundane and often ridiculous crimes occurring on a daily basis in our community.

I particularly enjoyed one of the reports where the criminals “made off with a refreshing beverage.”

I don’t believe that the reporter is critical of the police, he is merely conveying that he lacks certain information, which usually makes the report even more amusing.

I, too, have enormous respect for the police in Auburn and would hope that readers could differentiate between light hearted-sarcasm and shameful disrespect.
