Regarding John Carlson’s commentary of May 7 (“Time for review: the cooling off of global warming”), let me say:

Fact 1: Climate change is happening and humans are contributing to it

Fact 2: Temperatures are continuing to rise

Fact 3: The current climate change is not just part of a natural cycle

Fact 4: Recent warming cannot be explained by the sun or natural factors alone

Fact 5: If we continue emitting greenhouse gases this warming will continue and delaying action will make the problem more difficult to fix

These aren’t my own thoughts, or from some liberal magazine. In fact, they’re from the Web site of the “highly regarded” Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, UK – one of the sources that Carlson himself used to try to claim that global warming has stopped. And “highly regarded” was Carlson’s own words.
