Backus will get things done

Bob Jones' letter ("There is hope for Auburn", March 8, Reporter) got me to write my letter. So his guy, John Partridge, thinks we shouldn't rely on outside funds, but he's spending this week in D.C. on the taxpayer dime?

The other councilmembers are bringing back money and value for all of us, but his guy doesn't believe in it. So what's he spending our money on?

I really don't like the idea that not a single councilmember would endorse him (for mayor). Who's he going to get to work with him and how is he going to get anything done?

I've decided. I'm for Nancy Backus. She believes in Auburn and is willing to fight for us. The council and past councilmembers endorsed Nancy. She'll get things done.
