Job well done, girls

It is time to once again salute the Auburn Mountainview girls water polo team on yet another outstanding campaign.

Despite an extremely competitive regular season – including games against three of the top four teams in Washington – the Lions finished with a 13-4 mark and entered the state tournament as the top overall seed, finishing seventh.

Individual accolades were garnered by Avalon Linz, Lindsey Powers, and Savanna Warner (first team All-Division selections), Tiarria Patterson and Julie Howe (second team) and Jaelyn Colley (honorable mention).

Lanz was also selected as All-State Defensive MVP, and first-year skipper Justin Pritchard was named All-Division coach.

Congratulations on another great season, girls.

– Craig Powers
