Do candidates understand K-12 education?

In this day and age of political beliefs, principals and given the polarization of politics, it is refreshing to hear that we have candidates who believe collaboration is one of the many ways to solve problems in our communities.

We recently had coffee with Chris Barringer (D), who is running for Position 1 in the 47th Legislative District. As we shared our expectations and concerns about K-12 public education, there were several areas that Chris voiced his common views about these same matters.

Chris also showed that he has good understanding of the issues that face our school district as well as our state, particularly in K-12 education, which is very important to us. We would strongly suggest that, as voters, you reach out to candidates who will be the best choice for supporting K-12 education.

We need to continue to offer more encouragement for candidates who put aside their political differences to work towards the solutions that are in the best interest of our kids, who are our future generations.
