While I’m on my soap box, I might as well add my two cents worth about Virginia Haugen.

What did she really do that was so bad? She was just protecting the business owners who asked her to have the sign made.

Let’s face it, everyone knows what a mess Mayor Lewis and the City Council have made of downtown Auburn. And, it’s obvious to me that someone doesn’t like Virginia because she “tells it like it is!”

In my opinion, she’s a brave, honest woman who only wants the best for Auburn.

Have you been in downtown Auburn lately? Maybe the mayor and the council should take a ride to Kent and see what progress and beautification are really like. They certainly don’t have Auburn’s best interests on the agenda. At least, Kent has a downtown.
