Auburn VFW Post 1741 performed the memorial ceremony at Mountain View Cemetary with several of its members participating. The Post also placed a red, white and blue fresh flower wreath at the memorial to honor those who made the extreme sacrifice. There was no mention in the photo caption (Auburn Reporter, May 29) that the VFW participated in this event, although there are members in the photo.
