Vote for Lewis
September 23, 2009 · Updated 5:09 PM
The upcoming election will be an historic time for the City of Auburn. The citizens of Auburn, with their mail-in ballot will select the mayor of our fair city for the next four years.
The future of Auburn depends on the community making the right decision by bringing Mayor Lewis back for another term. Mayor Lewis is a pragmatic, honorable man who has worked hard to make our city better. He has an open-door policy, which allows citizens, pro or con, to meet with him and discuss the future of the city. He has accepted suggestions for improvement, has met with countless community groups to help them with their local problems.
Many people don’t realize our mayor must work daily with two county governments, our state government, the federal government and a sovereign Indian nation, all influencing what happens in our town.
The mayor must be able to communicate effectively with each of these bodies and bring benefits to our town. We need someone who will continue to bring benefits and growth to our community.
If you believe in the future of Auburn and want to see our town prosper, then please vote for Mayor Lewis with your Nov. 3 ballot.
