The recent senseless murders of four City of Lakewood police officers has taken its toll on law enforcement across the nation. It has especially touched the lives of your police officers in Auburn and all law enforcement officers in Washington.

The men and women of the Auburn Police Department are humbled and moved by the condolences and demonstrations of support they

are receiving from the citizens of Auburn.

On behalf of the Auburn Police Department, I want to thank the citizens of Auburn for their caring words and acts of kindness. We who so proudly serve and protect are appreciative of the support from our community. Please know your support, cards, phone calls, the community banner and condolences are deeply appreciated.

– James Kelly, Auburn Chief of Police
