Free books. Free movies. Free music. Free internet. Sounds great. Oh, yeah. We already have it all? … at the library.

The King County Library System is the third busiest library in the U.S. And who uses the library? Most of us do, with nearly 90 percent of KCLS residents having a library card.

We enjoy the library seven days a week including most evenings. We can enjoy presentations, use the computers, get help finding a job, look up our ancestors and learn a new language. Or simply enjoy the latest bestseller.

Sometimes we take the library a little for granted, but we know it would be wrong for any of the services to go away. To show your support for the King County Library, we urge you to vote yes for Proposition 1 on your ballot and mail it by Feb. 9.
