Sound Transit is considering a site on Kent’s West Hill, where the Dick’s Drive-In restaurant opened last December, to build a new light rail vehicle operations and maintenance facility.

The site is one of six properties under consideration.

Another location Transit officials are considering is the Midway Landfill, which could be cost prohibitive since the property is a Superfund site and could pose significant environmental risks to neighbors and workers at the facility, officials said.
