May I share my joy? | LETTER

On election day, I waited patiently, glued to Fox News practically all day, praying for the man, and I literally jumped with joy when it was finally announced before midnight that Donald Trump won the election.

Against all odds, that is.

Against all polls presented by the so-called “media elites.” Against the biased reporting by commentators of CNN, ABC, NBC, MSNBC and by the opinion writers of The New York Times, The Washington Post and The Seattle Times. From the very beginning, these so-called media elites badmouthed and falsely opined on the campaign agendas of Donald Trump.

But Trump clearly captured the anger that Americans were feeling regarding illegal immigration, trade and jobs, about Obamacare and the thorough vetting of the Syrian refugees, about the ISIS in the Middle East and the spread of terrorism here in the United States, and about the killings of cops.

We, the silent majority of American voters, are not stupid. We did not believe in any of the deceitful journalism of the media elites. So we voted for Donald Trump, who easily won the election, shocking many throughout the nation, prompting these widespread protests that are now turning into riots.

Inspired by the media elites, these rioters are saying that that it was Clinton who won the election. Wrong. We, the silent majority have spoken. Trump won.

It’s Donald Trump, the man who tells it like it is, who won, without any doubt, this 2016 presidential election. And that to me is truly a joyful occasion.
