Huskies, Cougars play for Pac-12 title game spot, major bowl and state bragging rights

For the first time since 2006, the Washington State Cougars are favored to beat the Washington Huskies in the 111th Apple Cup, opening up as a 3-point betting favorite.

Kickoff is 5:30 p.m. Friday (Fox TV) at Martin Stadium in Pullman.

The Cougars (10-1) are ranked No. 7 in the AP poll, the Huskies (8-3) at No. 16.

The winner will win the Pac-12 North and advance to the conference championship game, where it will take on the South champions, the Utah Utes, on Friday, Nov. 30, for the right to play in the Rose Bowl. The Cougars also have hopes of reaching the four-team College Football Playoff.
