Ravens and Trojans honored with SPSL North 4A all-league selections | FOOTBALL

Trojan Danny Shelton topped the list of the Auburn-area football players named to the South Puget Sound League North 4A all-league teams this past week, getting the nod as both Offensive and Defensive Lineman of the Year.

Shelton, a 6-foot-3, 300-pound senior anchored the Trojan defensive and offensive lines, helping the team to a 9-3 overall record and an appearance in the Washington State 4A quarterfinals.

Shelton shared the defensive lineman award with Kentwood’s Dalton Blackmore.

In addition, Shelton was also named to the league’s first team offense and defense.

Also honored with first-team offense selections were senior running back Alphonse Wade, senior offensive lineman Nick Conlan and senior center Keila Suka.

Conlan was also named to the first-team defense as a lineman and Wade was chosen as a defensive back.

Senior linebacker EJ Strickland was also named an all-SPSL North 4A defender.

Kicker and punter Aaron McMahon was chosen as an all-league special team player for Auburn, as well.

ALSO: Auburn Riverside senior offensive lineman Brandon Hand was chosen to the all-SPSL North 4A first-team. Fellow Ravens Kell Garrison, Conner Bjornstad and Nick Alexander were all named all-league second teamers.
