The Muckleshoot Tribal Kings capped an exceptional boys basketball season with a trip to the state 1B tournament.

The Kings qualified for the round of 16 with a fourth-place finish at the 1B tri-district tournament. The Kings, however, 55-52 to Taholah in overtime in the first round of the state tourney last Saturday at Timberline High School in Olympia.

The Kings finished with a 17-8 overall record.
