Beat the Raven 5K Fun Run and Walk is Saturday

The Beat the Raven 5K Fun Run and Walk is 9 a.m. Saturday at Auburn Riverside High School-Roegner Park, 501 Oravetz Road.

Proceeds benefit the school's cross country program and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

The out-and-back course starts at the school. The start and finish line is at the bus loading zone behind the school. The course begins at Auburn Riverside and then continues along a paved trail along the White River through Roegner Park and Game Farm Wilderness Park.

The run is USATF certified, using the HY-TEK timing system. The post-race celebration will include muffins, fruit, coffee, water, sports drinks, music and random prize drawings.

The preregistration fee is $20, $25 on race day.
