Auburn Mountainview trounces Lakes 10-0 in SPSL 3A opener; Auburn, Auburn Riverside fall in SPSL North 4A | Girls Soccer

The Auburn Mountainview girls soccer team had no trouble putting away Lakes in ts South Puget Sound League 3A opener on Tuesday, beating the Lancers 10-0.

Goalkeepers Jessica McAllister and Anastasia Finney combined for the shutout.

Kellcy Emory earned a hat trick for the Lions.

Sara Jennings and Abi Alfrey each had two goals and one assist in the contest and Heather Odell added two assists. Also scoring for Auburn Mountainview were Delene Colburn, Syvia Wagner and Karissa Ritter. Allison Frettt, Ritter and McAllister had assists.

The win improves the Lion to 5-1-1 overall.

Auburn Mountainview hosts undefeated Bonney Lake (1-0-0 league, 7-0 overall) at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

ALSO: Auburn Riverside fell to 4-3-0 on Tuesday with a tough 1-0 loss to Kentridge (3-2-1). The Chargers' Jan Flewelling was credited with the shutout. Katie Pennington scored the contest only goal at the 72nd-minute mark. The Ravens host Mount Rainier at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. ... The Auburn girls remained winless at 0-5-0 with a 2-0 loss to Jefferson on Tuesday. The Raiders were paced by Lindsey Dahl who had two goals and Chentay Warnes who had two assists. Ashlyn Bruin notched the shutout between the pipes. The Trojans travel to French Field for a 3:30 p.m. game against the defending 4A state champion Kentwood Conquerors (6-0-0) on Thursday.
