The South Puget Sound League 3A champion Auburn Mountainview (12-4-1) girls soccer program fell 1-0 to Hazen (11-2-5) on Wednesday at Harry Lang Stadium in Lakewood.

The loss earns the Lions the No. 2 seed into the West Central District III/Southwest District 4 tourney, and a 3 p.m. winner-to-state, loser-out contest against Columbia River this Saturday at Highline Memorial Stadium in Burien.

The Washington State 3A girls soccer tournament begins Nov. 9 at various sites and culminates Nov. 18 and 19 at Sparks Stadium in Puyallup.

ALSO: The Auburn Riverside girls ended their season this on Oct. 27 with a 2-1 loss to Mount Rainier at Highline Memorial Stadium. The Ravens finished the season with a 6-8-2 record, sixth in the South Puget Sound League North 4A... The Auburn Trojans finished their season with a 2-12-2 record, eighth in the SPSL North 4A.
