Auburn Mountainview advances three to 3A girls state swim meet

Auburn Mountainview junior Taylor Lavine and sophomores Hannah Houck and Avalon Lanz will compete at the state 3A swimming and diving championship, beginning Friday at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.

Lavine qualified for state with her 26.10-second, first-place finish in the 50-meter freestyle at last weekend's West Central District III Meet at the Hazen Pool.

Houck finished ninth at the district meet with 5:56.60 and Lanz was fourth in the 500 free with a 5:52.06.

The 3A girls competition gets under way at 9:45 a.m. Friday in Federal Way.
