Auburn senior Cory English recently was selected the South Puget Sound League North 4A co-Offensive Lineman of the Year.

English, a 6-foot-3-inch, blue-chip recruit, is the second straight Trojan to earn the top honor. Danny Shelton, now a freshman at the University of Washington, received the award last year.

English shares the honor with Kentlake’s Kile Minnis.

Joining English on the SPSL North 4A all-league first team were Auburn senior defensive back Josh McCoy, junior linebacker Kevin Shelton and senior punt and kick returner Lincoln Burt. Burt also earned a second-team nod as a defensive back.

Senior offensive lineman Louis Henson made the second team.

Junior running back Darnell Hagans, senior halfback/defensive back Chandler Link and junior lineman Leroy Arnold made the honorable-mention list.

Elsewhere, Auburn Riverside junior offensive lineman Joe Miles and senior wide receiver Kameron Boardway earned first-team nods. Senior Jaray Bates was chosen to the first-team special teams squad for his play as a kick/punt returner. Bates also was chosen to the all-league second teams as a running back and linebacker.

Senior defensive back Kevin Mast and junior defensive lineman Skyler Harris were chosen to the second team.

Senior quarterback Josh Latta was named an honorable mention.
