No. 4 Auburn Mountainview beats Lakes 61-41, Auburn falls 49-36 to Tahoma | Girls Prep Basketball

Senior Aalia Braboy notched a game-high 25 points to help the Lions overcome Peninsula 61-41 in South Puget Sound League 3A play on Tuesday.

The smothering Auburn Mountainview (3-0 league, 11-3 overall) defense held the Seahawks (0-2, 3-8) to just four first quarter points.

Caitlin Carr added 15 points for the Lions and Hattie Kosko had nine points.

The Lions will travel to Enumclaw (2-0, 9-3) at 7 p.m. this Friday.

ALSO: The Auburn (3-6, 4-8) girls fell 49-36 to Tahoma (5-4, 7-5) on Tuesday in SPSL North 4A play. Sienna Pollard and Taryn Papillon both had 11 points in the loss. The Trojans will host Kentwood (7-2, 9-3) at 7:30 p.m. Friday... The No. 8 ranked Auburn Riverside (7-1, 10-1) girls were idle this Tuesday with a bye. The Ravens will host Kentridge (4-5, 7-6) at 7:30 p.m. this Friday. Auburn Riverside will ply in the Valley Medical Shootout, squaring off against Bellarmine Prep at 10 a.m. Monday at the ShoWare Center in Kent.
