Auburn falls to Mount Rainier 69-57 | Boys prep basketball

Despite 16 points by guard Harold Lee, Auburn fell 69-57 to Mount Rainier in South Puget Sound League North 4A on Thursday.

The victory halts a six-game skid for the third-place SPSL North 4A Rams (7-5 league, 10-7 overall), who were led by Jamil Wilison Jones' game-high 16 points.

Spencer Fisher and J.J. Ruffin added 15 points apiece for the Trojans (4-7, 6-9).

Auburn will travel to Jefferson (4-8, 7-9) at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

ALSO: Auburn Riverside (3-7, 4-10) snagged its fourth win of the season on Thursday with a 52-48 win over Tahoma (5-6, 7-8) at Auburn Riverside. The Ravens were led by Prince Ligon's 22 points, with Bridger Harlington adding 20. Coleman Wooten had a game-high 23 for the Bears. Auburn Riverside will host Kent-Meridian (8-3, 10-5) at 7:30 p.m. Saturday... Auburn Mountainview (3-3 SPSL 3A, 10-7 overall) fell 73-66 to Decatur (6-0, 12-4) on Wednesday. The Lions were led by J.J. Lacey's 19 points, with Marion Beauchamp adding 17 and Domenic Rockey 14. Dom Hunter had a game-high 30 for the Gators. Mountainview hosts Peninsula (0-3, 3-12) at 7 p.m. tonight.
