Auburn Mountainview begins play in district 3A tourney Friday | Prep fastpitch

The Auburn Mountainview fastpitch squad grabbed the No. 5 seed out of the South Puget Sound League/Seamount/Bremerton 3A tourney on Saturday with a 16-11 win over Lakes.
The Lions play 3A No. 10 ranked Kelso (15-5) at 12 p.m. today at Sprinker Recreation Center in Tacoma.
A win moves the Lions on to a 4 p.m. game versus No. 8 ranked Peninsula (17-3). A loss moves Auburn Mountainview into the consolation bracket for a match with the loser of the Prairie versus Kennedy Catholic game, at 10 a.m. Saturday.
