AUBURN RIVERSIDE
COACH: Cathy Robinson, sixth year
RETURNERS: 11 returners. Brianna Cooke, junior; Casey Kaku, senior; Kalyah Majors, junior; Madison Miller, junior; Sarah Murgittroyd, senior; Emily Polkow, sophomore; Elizabeth Sakai, junior; Kylie Urban, junior; Allana White, sophomore; Madison Williams, sophomore; and Hannah Wilson, sophomore.
NEWCOMERS: Amanda Bunger, freshman; Haily Doolin, senior; Delanie Manza, freshman; Maddy Thompson, freshman; and Julie Zanotelli, sophomore.
OUTLOOK: The Ravens are led by Miller, who was 21st in the all-around competition at district last season. Urban, who finished 37th in the district all-around, should also contribute. Murgittroyd was expected to be a key for the squad, but an ankle injury could sideline her for the entire season. “We started the season in good shape, taking second place in our first two meets with team scores of 151 and 154.6,” Robinson said. “We’re continuing to develop some of our underclassmen to create additional depth in our team scores. Sub-(district) and district will come fast, and our goal, like all other teams, is to make it through subs and get to the district meet this year.”
