Seattle Thunderbirds return to action against Everett Friday at ShoWare Center

The Seattle Thunderbirds return to action after Christmas break to play the Everett Silvertips at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28 at the ShoWare Center.

Seattle (16-17-1-1, 34 points) is in fourth place in the U.S. Division and seventh in the Western Conference at the midway point of the season.

The T-Birds are trying to snap a five-game losing streak. Roberts Lipsbergs and Connor Honey lead the team with 32 points apiece.

Eight of the 10 teams in the Western Conference advance to playoffs. The T-Birds have failed to advance to the playoffs three straight years.

Everett (13-22-0-2, 28 points) is in fifth place in the division and ninth in the conference.

Seattle plays Saturday, Dec. 29 at Everett and Tuesday, Dec. 31 at the Portland Winterhawks.
