Auburn Riverside tops Puyallup, grabs No. 3 district seed

Senior Shantell Jackson had a game-high 14 points to lift Auburn Riverside over Puyallup 47-45 Thursday at the South Puget Sound League 4A Tournament at the ShoWare Center in Kent.

The win earns the Ravens (17-5) the No. 3 seed into the West Central District III/Southwest District IV 4A tourney, which begins next Thursday at the ShoWare. Puyallup is the No. 4 seed.

Brittani Williams added 10 points for Auburn Riverside with Ilona Snyder contributing 8.

Addi Picha led the Vikings (18-3) with 12 points, and Braylie Jeffers chipped in with 11 points.

The Ravens host either Federal Way (16-4) or Kentwood (14-5) Thursday at Auburn Riverside High School, with time to be determined.
