Auburn Riverside's Miller qualifies for state in floor exercise; Auburn Mountainview moves on four gymnasts

Auburn Riverside's Madi Miller will compete in the floor exercise at this weekend's state 4A gymnastics championships in Tacoma.

Miller earned the berth with a 9.200 performance at Saturday's West Central District III 4A meet at Mount Rainier High School.

The Ravens finished eighth as a team with a 154.850 score.

Emerald Ridge captured the team title with a 176.375-point performance, with Jefferson coming in second with 169.700. Both teams move on to the state 4A field.

The state meet is Friday and Saturday at the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall.

ALSO: Auburn Mountainview advanced four gymnasts to the state 3A gymnastics championships.

Cassie Hunt earned a spot in the all-around competition with her 32.915-point, 15th-place finish at Saturday's 3A district meet at Mount Rainier.

Also moving on for the Lions in individual events are Hannah Houck, who earned berths in the balance beam and floor exercise with scores of 8.150 and 8.400, respectively.

Lauren Brudvik will compete in the state vault competition and Vasha McQuarrie will compete on the uneven bars.

Enumclaw finished first in the district 3A team competition with a 179.425.
