Auburn Riverside girls play loser-out, winner-to-regionals against Puyallup tonight

The Auburn Riverside girls basketball team put away league rival Tahoma 61-44 on Friday in the West Central District III/Southwest District IV 4A tournament at Bellarmine Prep High School in Tacoma.

The Ravens (18-6) were led by senior Shantell Jackson's 15 points. Simona Allen and Brittani Williams each added 9 points and Rachel Davey and Ilona Snyder had 8 points apiece.

Tahoma's (12-11) Brie Hooks had 15 points.

The win earns the Ravens a loser-out, winner-to-regionals game against Puyallup (19-4) at 8 tonight at Stadium High School in Tacoma.

The winner of tonight's game will play either Skyview or Bellarmine Prep at 4 p.m. Monday at Stadium for the No. 5 and 8 seeds into the state regional playoffs, which begin Feb. 22.
