Auburn Mountainview girls play loser-out, winner-to-regionals against Lakes today

The Auburn Mountainview girls have one last chance to punch their ticket to the 3A basketball regional playoffs at 4:15 p.m. today when they take on Lakes (12-10) at Clover Park High School.

The winner of today's game moves on to regionals as the No. 6 seed out of districts. The regional state tournament begins Feb. 23.

The Lions (13-11) lost to Wilson 75-35 on Friday in the second round of the West Central District III/Southwest District IV 3A tourney at Clover Park.

Allison Hammer had 10 points for Auburn Mountainview, with Sammantha DePiano adding 8 points.
