Auburn's Stafford makes all-academic team for Seawolves

Auburn's Teancum Stafford of the University of Alaska Anchorage has been selected to the CoSIDA District 8 Capital One men's basketball all-academic team.

Stafford, an Auburn High graduate, was among five players from the West Region selected to the team and are now finalists for the CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-American team, which will be announced Feb. 19.

Stafford, a 6-foot-5 junior, averages 13.6 points per game and ranks fourth in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference in rebounding averaging 8.3, has a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

Stafford was a second team All-GNAC performer last season after ranking second on the Seawolves with 14.2 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.

He is a psychology major.

The Seawolves are 13-9 overall and 6-5 in conference play, so far this season.
