Auburn Riverside stays alive with 39-28 district win over Curtis | Prep girls basketball

The Auburn Riverside girls basketball team beat Curtis 28-39 in a second-round, loser out West Central District III/Southwest District 4 Girls 4A Basketball Tournament contest Saturday at Stadium High School in Tacoma.

The win earned the Ravens (12-10) another consolation bracket, loser out game against Puyallup (15-5), at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday at Stadium.

A win there guarantees Auburn Riverside a berth in the Washington State 4A Regional tournament, which begins Feb. 28 at various locations.

The loss bounced the Curtis (11-8) girls from the postseason.
