Auburn Mountainview hammers Lakes 13-3 | Prep baseball

The No. 8-ranked 3A Auburn Mountainview baseball squad crushed Lakes 13-3 on Friday.

The defending state champ Lions were led by Brandon Mozzone's five-innings of work on the mound. Mozzone earned the win with a two-hit, 10 strikeout performance.

Offensively, Tyler Friis was 2-of-4 from the dish with three RBIs. Alex Gleason added four RBIs, three runs and a home run and Joey Cassono had three stolen bases in the win.

The Lions play Puyallup in nonleague action today at Safeco Field.
