Lions demolish Decatur, blank Peninsula | SPSL 3A fastpitch

Delene Colburn, Emily Martinez and Angie Hagan belted home runs, highlighting a 13-hit attack as Auburn Mountainview routed Decatur 12-2 in a six-inning South Puget Sound League 3A fastpitch game Tuesday.

Colburn allowed four hits and two runs and struck out six in three innings of work. She also tripled and stole a base.

Cori Creveling went 3-for-4 with two RBI. Martinez drove in three runs and Hagen drove in two.

On Wednesday, Colburn drove in four runs and tossed a three-hit shutout in the Lions' 5-0 conquest of Peninsula.

Marissa Petrovic went 2-for-4, with two runs scored.

The Lions improved to 8-6 in league, 10-7 overall.
