Auburn Mountainview beats Foss 2-0 for state 3A berth | Prep boys soccer

Auburn Mountainview downed Foss 2-0 on Saturday in a loser-out, winner-to-state West Central District III/Southwest District 4 3A soccer playoff at Highline Stadium.

The Lions earned the No. 4 seed into the state 3A tournament and a 5 p.m. Tuesday opener at Sunnyside.

Sophomore forward Christian Rotter found the back of the net in the first half for the Lions (12-3-1).

Junior Midfielder Emmanuel Saah added the insurance goal.

Nick Hytrek earned the shutout.
