The Auburn Mountainview fastpitch team ended its season Sunday with an 8-3 loss to Bonney Lake in the West Central District III/Southwest District 4 3A tournament at Sprinker Fields in Tacoma.

The Lions (15-11) posted a 1-2 record at the tourney.

In the first round, Auburn Mountainview found itself on the losing end of a 19-12 slugfest, falling to Mountain View, which went on to take second place in the tourney.

Relegated to the consolation bracket, the Lions held off North Thurston, 15-12.

The Lions' Delene Colburn earned the win in the circle, and Makaela Henderson delivered an inside-the-park grand slam.

On Sunday, rival Bonney Lake (18-8) ousted the Lions, despite Colburn's 4-of-4 performance at the plate.
