Auburn Little League softball captures majors division District 10 Tournament of Champions

The Auburn Little League majors division softball team Xtreme socked away the District 10 Tournament of Champions title this past weekend.

Playing at Steel Lake fields in Federal Way, the Xtreme – managed by Pat Padero and coached by Jerry Nipert and Darren Stober – won the TOC with three-straight victories.

In the first round, Auburn put away Fife/Milton/Edgewood by 10-run rule in the fifth inning.

In the second round, the team fell behind Federal Way 7-0 in the first inning, but came back to win the game 14-9 in the sixth inning.

In the championship game against Chinook, Auburn won with a 14-2 score in the fourth inning.

The Xtreme are Kiana Adams, Lynneti Aumua, Samantha Berg, Hailey Browne, Gina Nipert, Morgan Lee, Sydney Padero, Avery Watkins, Faith Stober, Breann Hazel and Grace McCreery, Emma Podliska, Rebecca Spear and Charity Sevaaetasi.

Auburn plays in the District 10 All-Star Tournament beginning later this month at the Federal National Little League fields.
