For the first time since 2007, Auburn/Kent Little League has fielded a seniors softball team (age 14-16).

After completing a compressed 12-game season – composed of double- and triple-headers – the Auburn/Kent Senior Softball Ice advanced to the state tournament beginning Saturday in La Center.

Auburn players include Joanna Bartz, Jami Capitan, Jaymee Ehlers, Joliza Feltman, Deanna Green, Dani Mae Hutson, MacKenzie Shaw, Rhonda Sheldon, Maddie Stulce; Kent players: Ashley Myrseth-Barrea, Ashley Elkins, Haleigh Rzonca, Jazlyn Vollmer

Willy Thurston is the manager. Mike Barrea and Troy Stulce are the coaches.
