Auburn Mountainview's Kenny Wells finishes 16th in diving at 3A state meet

Auburn Mountainview’s Kenny Wells concluded his high school diving career with a 16th place finish at the Washington State 3A Boys Swimming and Diving championships this past Saturday at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.

Wells, a senior, put together a 186.55 preliminary performance to qualify for the second day of the state meet. On Saturday Wells scored 227.55 points.

ALSO: Auburn Riverside’s 200-yard freestyle team of Brandon Hand, Devin Cramer, Ryan Atwood and Kyle Rogers just missed out on the cut for the second day of the 4A state meet with a 17th place finish. The Ravens team posted a 1:33.45 time in the preliminaries, besting their district time of 1:35.13. …Auburn’s 200 free relay team of Bryan Diebag, Jeremy Call, Jesse Butterfield and Matt Nordlie were disqualified in the preliminary round.
