Auburn Riverside High School’s Cole Lenihan, basketball, is the Auburn Reporter’s Athlete of the Week.

Q: What is your favorite subject in school?

A: Social Studies, U.S. history.

Q: What other activities do you participate in?

A: Track, golf, video games..

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: Mr. Hunter, dean of students.

Q: Do you have a pre- or post-game tradition? What is it?

A: Listen to “Welcome to Heartbreak” before every game..

A: “Welcome to Heartbreak.”

Cole scored 20 points, including the game-tying free throw to send the game into overtime, and collected eight rebounds against Auburn.

A: Weight Training with Mr. Goethals.

A: Construction and football.

A: Coach Kyle Jones and my step-dad, Casey.

A: Stretch and get ready.

Will won the Doc Herren Invitational, beating out 24 other wrestlers and winning by pin in the finals. Then, the following weekend, he went to the 54-team Gut Check tournament and finished fourth overall. These two performances moved Will up to the No. 5 ranking among 4A 220-pound wrestlers in the state.
