Auburn Riverside grad part of Oregon state baseball champion coaching staff

Joey Galeno, a 2014 Auburn Riverside High School graduate, recently won an Oregon Class 6A state baseball championship as an assistant coach with Jesuit High School in Portland.

Galeno finished his collegiate baseball career in 2018 and graduated from Pacific University (Forest Grove, Ore.) with a degree in exercise science.

This fall he will be attending the University of Washington masters in applied bio-engineering program.

Jesuit defeated Central Catholic 2-1 in 13 innings in the 6A title game on June 1.
