Kramer’s walkoff hits lifts Auburn Mountainview past Liberty

Auburn Mountainview scored three runs in the seventh inning to edge Liberty 4-3 in a nonleague baseball game Monday.

The Lions trailed 3-2 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Trevor Curl uncorked a wild pitch, scoring two runs. Michael Kramer then drove in the winning run for the Lions (4-4).

Shane Buchanan earned the win in relief. Starter Nate Weeldreyer pitched four innings, allowing no runs, two hits, striking out five and walking one.

Auburn Mountainview collected 11 hits. Kramer and Nathan Schelling each had three hits. Kramer, who went 3-for4, doubled in a run in the first inning.
