Ravens jolted, Lions hold on | NPSL football

Tiano Malietufa threw for 222 yards and two touchdowns and rambled for a third, but Auburn Riverside’s furious comeback fell short 30-27 to Enumclaw in a North Puget Sound League Olympic Division game at Pete’s Pool on Friday night.

The outcome leaves both teams tied atop the division race at 4-1, 6-1 overall.

Malietufa found Jaden Robinson on a 74-yard TD play late in the game to cut the Hornets’ lead to 30-27, but the Ravens drew no closer.

The senior lefty also hit Isaiah Prescott on a 44-yard TD play that gave the Ravens a 14-10 halftime lead.

Malietufa led the Ravesn with 80 yards rushing, including an 18-yard scoring run.

The Ravens’ Sam Braboy was held to 76 yards on eight carries.

Bear Kuro ran for 98 yards and two TDs and Nicholas Harberts had 97 yards and two more scores for Enumclaw.

The Ravens host Federal Way (2-3, 3-4) next Friday.

Elsewhere

At Auburn Mountainview 27, Todd Beamer 26: Talan Alfrey caught two touchdowns and ran for another as the Lions withstood a Titans comeback bid to post their third straight NPSL Olympic Division win at Auburn Memorial Stadium on Friday night.

Sui Daniels passed for 299 yards and three TDs for the Lions (3-2, 3-4).

Auburn Mountainview built a 27-3 lead before Todd Beamer (3-2, 5-2) rallied. A missed extra-point kick by the Titans proved to be the difference.

Alfrey caught scoring passes of 37 and 16 yards from Daniels and scored on a 1-yard run. Alfrey finished with 11 catches for 170 yards.

Cooper White caught a 19-yard TD pass.

Auburn Mountainview visits Decatur (0-5, 2-5) next Friday.

At Auburn 24, Federal Way 21: The Trojans (3-2, 5-2) downed the Eagles (2-3, 3-4) in an NPSL Olympic Division game at Auburn Memorial Stadium on Thursday night.

Auburn travels to Todd Beamer on Thursday.
