Ravens, Lions fall in girls soccer district playoffs

Emerald Ridge turned back Auburn Riverside and Bellarmine Prep topped Auburn Mountainview in the district girls soccer playoffs Tuesday night.

The Jaguars (5-8-4) prevailed 2-1 on a Ravens’ own goal with two minutes to play at Curtis High School.

Auburn Riverside scored first on freshman Kayla Rydberg’s goal in the eighth minute, off a feed from McKenna Boulet.

The Ravens finished the season 8-6-3.

Meanwhile, Bellarmine Prep eliminated the Lions of Auburn Mountainview 1-0 at Kent’s French Field.

AMV’s season ends at 10-6-1.
