Auburn Riverside southpaw quarterback Tiano Malietufa and Auburn Mountainview’s versatile Talan Alfrey received top postseason football honors in the North Puget Sound League Olympic Division, the league announced last week.

Malietufa, a senior, was chosen NPSL Offensive MVP in leading the Ravens to an 8-2 season and a district playoff berth. He threw for 1,345 yards and 16 touchdowns, broke 1,000 yards and scored three touchdowns rushing.

Alfrey, a Brigham Young University commit, was selected NPSL Olympic Defensive MVP in helping the Lions (4-6) reach the district playoffs. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound free safety made 87 total tackles, including 5½ for losses, and had two interceptions.

On offense, Alfrey caught 68 passes for 1,081 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also ran for 131 yards and three TDs.

The Ravens’ Jaden Robinson was the division’s Defensive Back of the Year, and Eyvar Robles was the Offensive Lineman of the Year.
